Kruger and Wheaton Share Weekly Honors

Alfred State freshman softball player Stormi Kruger (Medina) and  junior baseball player Jordan Wheaton (Wayland Cohocton) have been named Alfred State co-athletes of the week.

Kruger hit .588 this week as the Lady Pioneers finished 5-1. She was 10 for 17 with a triple and two RBI.  She scored seven runs and had a .706 slugging percentage.

On the year she is hitting a team best .500 (22 for 44) with three doubles, a triple, and 5 RBI. She has scored a team high 10 runs.

Wheaton hit .550 this week as the Pioneers finished 3-3.  He was 11 for 20 on the week with five doubles and 10 RBI.  He scored eight runs and registered a .800 slugging percentage and a .625 on-base percentage.  

On the year he is hitting ,398 with 14 doubles, four triples, and 24 RBI.  His batting average, doubles, triples, and RBI lead the team.
