Another Solid Day for Pioneers at Fredonia Invite

The Alfred State swimming and diving team had another solid day on day two of the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational. Both the men and women sit in 8th place in the team competition.

Nick Beach (Canandaigua) was 7th in the 1 m diving competition (312.35) while Tim Olin (Perry) was 9th in the 200 back (2:05.44). Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA) was 12th in the 100 breast (1:02.86), Kyle Sporysz (Cuba Rushford) was 12th in the 100 free (51.73), Bryce Cutler (Newton, NJ) was 13th in the 200 fly (2:10.15), Ryan McDowell (Macedon/Ganada) was 16th in the 200 fly (2:16.47), and Tyler LaFlamm (Mexico) was 16th in the 200 back (2:10.77)

On the women's side, Rebecca Stevens (Wellsville) was 8th in the 3m diving competiton (276.15) while Myriah Perry (Canisteo Greenwood) was 14th in the 200 back (2:28.34)

The women's 200 free relay team of Alley Sell (Hanover, PA), Rachel Caltagirone (Tonawanda), Lizzy Drake (Lansing), and Kaileigh Lehman (Beaver River) was 11th in 1:49.39 while the 200 medley team of Perry, Sell, Camryn Elliot (Wayland Cohocton), and Lehman was 12th in 2:03.61.

The men's 200 medley relay team of Olin, Dale, Cutler, and Sporysz was 12th in 1:44.21 and the 200 free relay of Nathan Cicera (Lake Shore), La Flamm, Mason Sparks (Royalton Hartland), and Elijah Perot (Marcus Whitman was 15th in 1:36.46.

The three-day event comes to an end on Sunday. Prelims start at 10 a.m. and finals at 4 p.m.
