Sell and Dale Honored by CollegeSwimming.com

Alfred State sophomore Alley Sell (Hanover, PA) and freshmen Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA) have been named the CollegeSwimming.com AMCC Swimmers of the Week.

Sell won five individual events and was part of three winning relays this weekend as Alfred State competed at the Pioneer Invitational and vs. Pitt-Bradford. At the Pioneer Invitational, she won the 100 breast (1:12.81) and the 500 free (5:52.43) while vs. Bradford she won the 200 fly (2:33.71), the 200 breast (2:40.72), and the 400 IM (5:15.02). Her performance in the 500 free set a new NCAA Era school record. She was also part of two medley relay victories and a 800 free relay victory.

Dale won five individual events over the weekend. He won the 200 fly (2:11.88) and 100 fly (58.33) in the Pioneer Invitational and won the 100 breast (1:04.67), the 200 breast (2:27.82), and the 400 IM (4:43.08) vs. Bradford.

Over 11,250 swimmers were in action for the week of January 16-23, 2017.  Of these, CollegeSwimming selected 122 Conference Swimmers-of-the-Week. Selections are made from results submitted by Midnight EST each Monday.
