Sell Wins 100 Breast to Highlight Day 3 of AMCC Championships

Alley Sell (Hanover) won the 100 breaststroke to highlight day three action at the 2017 AMCC Swimming and Diving Championships. Sell and the Lady Pioneers are in 3rd place with 221 points while the men are also in 3rd with 246 points.

Sell easily won the 100 breaststroke competition. She hit the wall in 1:08.46, nearly five seconds faster than the next finisher. Sell was also a member of the 200 medley relay team that finished (1:58.25). In the race she teamed with Myriah Perry (Canisteo Greenwood), Sarah Stevens (Wellsville), and Kaileigh Lehman (Beaver River).

Lehman was 3rd in the 100 breast (1:13.24), Josey Brewer (Letchworth) was 5th in the 400 IM (5:55.83) and was 11th in the 100 breast (1:22.21), and Perry was 7th in the 100 back (1:06.04).

Bryce Cutler (Newton, NJ) and Ethan Dale earned 2nd place finishes on the men's side. Cutler was 2nd in the 400 IM (4:25.57) while Dale was 2nd in the 100 breast (1:01.22)

Tim Olin (Perry) was 4th in the 100 back (56.42), Tyler La Flamm (Mexico) was 6th in the 400 IM (4:51.70) and 7th in the 100 back (57.75), and Ryan McDowell (Gananda) was 8th in 100 fly (56.63).

The men's 200 medley relay team of Olin, Dale, Cutler, and Nathan Ciciera (Lake Shore) finished 4th in 1:42.13.

The final day of the AMCC Championship begins at 10 a.m. with preliminary races. It continues at 1 p.m. with diving and concludes with the finals at 6 p.m.
