Ruebenstahl and Brown Shine in Day One of Brockport Multi

Andrew Rubenstahl (Washingtonville) and Alex Brown (Wellsville) had impressive first days at the Brockport Multi.

Rubenstahl sits in 3rd place (2,041 points) and Brown sits in 4th place (2,038 points) after four events of the heptathlon. Rubenstahl scored 583 points in the 60 (7.92) and 569 points in the high jump (1.73 m) while Brown scored 650 points in the 60 (7.70) and 510 points in the long jump (5.64 m). Tim Berry (Midlakes) has 1,904 points and sits in 7th place.

In the pentathlon, Holly Fiore (Niagara Falls) finished in 10th place with 2,293 points. She scored 599 points in the 60 hurdles (10.63) and 457 points in the 800 (2:50.61). Fiore's 2,293 points was just two short of her personal best which is the 2nd best effort in Alfred State history. Emily Brigman (Lancaster) finished 14th overall with 2,014 points.

Rubenstahl and Brown will finish competing in the heptathlon on Saturday while the rest of the indoor track team competes in the Brockport Open starting at 10 a.m.
