Brigman and Brown Compete at Cortland Multi.

Emily Brigman (Lancaster) and Alex Brown (Wellsville) represented Alfred State at the Cortland Multi over the weekend. Brigman's performance in the heptathlon earned her a spot on the all-time top ten list.

Brigman finished the event with 2,815 points which puts her in 5th on the all-time list. After scoring 577 points in the high jump (1.46 m) and 556 points in the 200 m (28.98) yesterday she scored 413 points in the long jump (4.44 m) and 369 points in the 800 (2:59.57). Overall she was 22nd out of28 competitors in the competition.

Brown finished in 8th place with 4,743 points in the decathlon. On Sunday he registered 534 points in the 1600 (5:04.56) and 509 points in the pole vault (3.64 m). On Saturday, he earned 657 points in the 100 m dash (11.97) and 541 points in the 400 (56.48).

Tomorrow the whole team will be back in action as they host the Alfred State Invitational. The first event is slated to start at 3:30 p.m.
