The Alfred State women's basketball team cruised past SUNY Delhi 77-32 on Wednesday evening. The Lady Pioneers climb back to the .500 mark with a 3-3 record.
Danielle Seratt (Avoca) led the blue & gold off the bench with 18 points. She finished the day 8 for 8 and chipped in eight rebounds. Destiny Brito (Manhattan/Park West) had a monster day with 12 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, and five steals.
Ardaisha Hudson (Brooklyn/Food & Finance) chipped in 12 points, Marcedes Caver (Cleveland, OH) finished with nine, and Briana Meehan (Rexville) added eight.
The Pioneers shot 43.4% from the field and held a 62 to 43 rebounding advantage.
Cassie Beaver led the Broncos with 11 points and nine rebounds. Megan Moody chippd in seven. Delhi shot just 16.7% from the field on the day and was slowed down by 22 turnovers.
Alfred State closes out the 2013 on Saturday when they travel to SUNY Fredonia for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
