Bialecki's Big Day Not Enough vs. SUNY Poly

Catherine Bialecki (Alfred Almond) scored 32 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, and blocked eight shots but Alfred State fell 76-65 to SUNY Poly on Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 8-2 lead and never trailed throughout the game. They led 17-14 at the end of the 1st quarter, 42-34 at the half, and 53-43 after three quarters. SUNY Poly opened up the lead to 24 points, 72-48, in the 4th quarter but the blue & gold finished the game on a 17 to 4 run.

Bialecki was 14 for 26 from the field for the game and was 4 for 8 from the foul line. She scored 12 points in the 1st quarter and nine in the 4th. 11 of her 17 rebounds were on the defensive glass. Her eight blocks was a season high.

Kelsey Shaulis (South Seneca) finished with 11 points and seven rebounds while Rayanna Anderson (Wellsville) also scored 11, grabbed six boards, and passed out five assists. The Pioneers were 25 for 61 from the floor, 4 for 14 from three, and 11 for 19 from the foul line.

Khristaijah Jackson led SUNY Poly (6-5) with 19 points and was one of four Wildcats in double figures. Rylie Smith had 14 points and nine boards, Shannon Harrison had 13 points off the bench, and Taylor Aybar chipped in 11. The Wildcats were 28 for 72 from the field, 9 for 20 from three, and hit all 11 of their foul shots.

The Pioneers have a week off before hosting Maine Fort Kent next Saturday at 6 p.m.
