Wrestlers 7th in Latest NCWA Rankings
The Alfred State wrestling team is now 7th in the latest NCWA Rankings. The Pioneers moved up two spots since the NCWA duals in January.
George Van Valen (Ithaca) is the highest Pioneer in the individual weight class rankings. Van Valen is ranked #2. He is 32-6 overall on the season and is 10-0 in NCWA competition. Van Valen finished 4th at the NCWA National Championships last season.
Konnor Kremer (Horseheads) is 25-9 on the season and is ranked 6th in the 174 lb. weight class, Brandyn Whitacre (Jamestown) is 12-11 on the season is ranked 6th in the 197 lb. weight class.

- Mitchell Lattucca (Lancaster) is 11th at 235
- Jeffrey Andrews (Randolph) is 11th at 285
- Patrick Lehman (Marathon) is ranked 22nd at 125
In poll the Pioneers scored 42 points. Emmanuel is ranked #1 followed by Liberty, Central Florida, Grand Valley, Middle Tennessee, and Apprentice.
Alfred State travels to the NCWA Northeast Championships next weekend at the University of New Hampshire. The NCWA Nationals is in Allen, TX, March 9-11.
