Meyer Named ACAA Athlete of the Week

Alfred State freshman Maggie Meyer (Red Creek) has been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association offensive player of the week. Meyer is the third Pioneer in the last four weeks to earn ACAA honors.

Meyer scored in both of the Pioneer victories this week as the team ran their winning streak to seven matches. She netted a goal and passed out an assist in a 9-0 win over Christendom and then scored a pair of goals in a 4-0 victory over Penn State Hazleton. On the year, she is second on the team with 16 points.

Melissa Ibarra of Mills was named the ACAA Defensive Player of the Week.
