Pioneers Fall in Tight Contest at Morrisville

Angelina Rinaldi scored 6:17 in the 2nd half to account for the lone goal as Morrisville won a tight contest over Alfred State on Saturday afternoon.
 
Alfred State held a 5 to 3 shot advantage in the 1st half but neither team could get anything on the board. The Mustangs controlled more of the offensive zone in the 2nd half and netted the load goal in the 52nd minute. Morrisville held a 9 to 1 shot advantage in the 2nd.
 
Meaghan Miller made three saves to record the shutout while Laura Mecca (Hamburg) made four saves for the Pioneers. 
 
The Pioneers are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Elmira for a 4:30 p.m. start with the Eagles.
