Prime Nets Goal as Pioneers Fall at Penn College

Althea Prime (Cherry Valley Springfield) scored her first collegiate goal but the Alfred State women's soccer team fell 5-1 on the road to Penn College on Sunday.

The Wildcats got on the board nine minutes into the game on tally by Dominique Brown. Tiffany Brown scored her first of three on the day just over eight minutes later.

Penn College scored 2:10 into the 2nd half to add to their lead before Prime was able to get the Pioneers on the board. Any comeback hopes were stopped when Brown completed her hat trick with a goal in the 85th minute. Kaelan Cronan capped the scoring with 2:30 left.

The Wildcats held a 32 to 11 shot advantage in the contest.

The Pioneers have nearly a week to prepare for their first ever AMCC contest on Saturday. They host Franciscan (OH) at 4:15 p.m.
