Alfred State out-shot Medaille 22 to 4 but the Mavericks were able to get a 2nd half goal to earn the 1-0 AMCC victory on Tuesday evening.
In the 76th minute, Yulisa Tosado-Muñoz netted her fourth goal of the season after getting a pass from Taylor Hollock.
The Pioneers had numerous opportunities as they hit the cross bar and the post. Jessica Tyrrell made seven saves to record the victory for the Mavs.
Alfred State are back in action on Saturday when they host Mt. Aloysius at 5 p.m. The contest is part of Homecoming 2021 festivities.
