Pioneers Tally First Shutout Of The Season Against Pitt. Bradford

Alfred, NY – The Pioneers notched their first shutout of the season against conference foe Pitt. Bradford. Alfred State moves to 2-5-1 on the season after tonight's 6-0 win.

Jena Schelble notched a brace while Stella Carretto and Karlee Hargather tallied a goal and an assist each. The sisters McKinnlee Harris and Madigan Harris also netted a goal each. Kate Sprool had an easy day in goal as she saw no shots on goal.

Schelble got the Pioneers on the board first with a goal in the 19th minute. McKinlee Harris followed with a goal of her own three minutes off a pass from Karlee Hargather.

In the 33rd minute, ASC made it a 3-0 game going into half, behind a goal from Madigan Harris.

Schelble got the second half going with a goal in the 47th minute. Carretto got credited for the assist on the play.

A few minutes later, Carretto found the back of the net off a pass from Madigan Harris for the 5-0 lead.

Later in the 76th minute, Ava Bruehwhiler found Hargather open in the box for a goal and the 6-0 lead.

The Pioneers will be back home this weekend on Saturday Sept. 30 for a game against Penn State Altoona at 2 pm.
