LaRue, Miller, and Stevens Earn AMCC Honors

A trio of Alfred State student-athletes have been honored with weekly awards by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). 

In her first collegiate meet, Jessie LaRue was a triple individual event winner to help the women's team to a tight victory. She was named female swimmer of the week after she won the 50 free in 25.80, the 100 free in 57.33 and the 200 free in 2:05.28. Her time in the 50 free is a new ASC NCAA era record. She was also part of the meet-clinching winning 200 free relay team that established a new ASC record with a time of 1:46.33.

Austin Miller (Hornell) was named the men's diver of the week after a strong performance in the season opening meet vs. Penn State Behrend. He won both the 1m and 3m diving competition. He scored 218.80 on the 1m and 229.65 on the 3m.

Sarah Stevens (Wellsville) was named the women's diver of the week after winning both diving events. She won the 3m with a score of 190.9 and the 1m with a score of 197.5.

The Pioneers are back in action on November 3rd when they host Buffalo State.
