Alfred State Women's Swimming & Diving Dominate Home Meet

The Alfred State Women's Swimming and Diving Team won todays home meet against Penn.- St. Behrend.

Winning all but one event, the Pioneers scored a total of 194 points to Behrend's 86. The Pioneers swim team won 13 out of 14 events on the day, with some standout performances along the way. 

Sarah Streeter (LeRoy, NY) scored 146.4 in the 3m dive and 131.9 in the 1m dive portion of the meet. Anna Ivery (Syracuse, NY) won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 56.49, beating out fellow teammate Mallory O'Keefe (Brighton, CO) by .5 of a second as she finished with a time of 57.10. They were over four seconds ahead of the best Behrend swimmer in that event, who finished with a time of 1:01.15. 

Emma Merrick(Cleveland, OH), Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias, NY) and Orla Reilly (Queens, NY) swept the top three spots in the 200 yard breast stroke. It was the only event that Alfred State had the top three spots in the event. Merrick finished with a time of 2:40.08.

The Alfred State Women's Swimming and Diving team is back in action next weekend at home against Penn.- State Altoona on November 5.
