Women's Track & Field Ranked #7 in Mideast Regional

Alfred State Ranked #7 in First Mideast Rankings

The Alfred State women's indoor track & field team is ranked #7 in the initial USTFCCCA Mideast Rankings. The Pioneers have earned 119.10 points thus far this season.

Three Pioneer multi athletes are in the top 50 of the NCAA DIII rankings. Emily Brigman (Lancaster) is ranked 30th with 2,449 points, Marissa Sly (N. Tonawanda) is 41st, and Julia Yanarella (Wappingers Falls) is 49th. The distance medley relay team of Veronica Dailey (Addison), Katherine O'Buckley (Queens/Francis Lewis), Delaney Ward (Adams Center), and Olivia Leonti (Port Byron) is ranked 41st with a time of 15:26.76. 

Johns Hopkins leads the Mideast Rankings followed by Messiah, Salisbury, Stevenson, Misericordia, Eastern, Alfred State, Penn State Harrisburg, Wesley, Dickinson.

The team is set to compete this weekend at the Brockport Invitational. The multi athletes will compete tonight and tomorrow while the rest of the team starts action tomorrow at 10 a.m. 

The next USTFCCCA Rankings will be released on Tuesday.
