Taggart Wins Pentathlon at Utica

The Alfred State Women's Track and Field team competed today at the Utica Invitational.

Some standouts for the Pioneers include:

Emma Taggart won the Pentathlon and qualified for the AARTFC with her score. Taggart's score of 2839 beat out the second-best athlete by more than 200 points. Taggart won the shot put and high jump portion of the pentathlon and came in third place in the 800m.

Laura Walters, who after her performance landed her at 2 all time in the Alfred State record book for her pole vault. Her score of 2.75 was good enough for fourth place in today's event.  

Sarah Rivet landed herself at 9 on Alfred State's record book for her performance in the 200m. Rivet finished 8 in today's 200m final and finished in 27.65 seconds.

The Pioneers are back in action again when the head to Brockport on Friday, Feb 3.
