Webster Sets New Digs Record

Madison Webster (Corning) became the Alfred State all-time digs leader as Alfred State battled Medaille on Friday night. The Mavericks took a tight 26-24 victory in the first set and then completed the sweep with 25-16 and 25-15 victories.

Webster recorded her 4th straight double-double finishing with 10 kills and 13 digs to lead the way for the Pioneers. Her 13 digs gives her 1,358 career digs, one more than previous record holder Jess Ramsey.

Sarah Raichlin (Binghamton/Chenango Valley) passed out 17 assists, eight digs, and four service aces.

Eleanor Clarke led the Mavs with 12 kills, Gina Appenheimer had 18 digs, and Savannah Berry passed out 18 assists. Medaille hit .239 for the contest and collected nine service aces.

The Pioneers are back on the court next Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. contest with D'Youville.
