Madison Webster and Sarah Raichlin earn All-ACAA honors

Webster and Raichlin Named All-ACAA

Alfred State senior volleyball players Madison Webster (Corning) and Sarah Raichlin (Binghamton/Chenango Valley) have been named to the All-ACAA team. Webster was a 1st team selection while Raichlin earned 2nd team honors.

Webster, who was a 2nd team All-ACAA selection last season, moved from her libero position to an outside hitter role this season. She finished the year with 282 digs (4.03/set), 231 kills (3.3/set), and 54 service aces. She recorded over 10 digs in 18 matches and had 13 matches with over 10 kills. On the year she had 11 double-doubles. She finished her career as the all-time leader at Alfred State with 1,423 digs.

The entire Pioneer offense ran through the hands of Raichlin this season. In her 21 matches played, she passed out 584 assists (8.34/set) and recorded 52 service aces. She passed out 20 or more assists in 19 games, 30 or more assists in six matches, and recorded two matches with over 40 assists. During the season, Raichlin eclipsed the 1,000 assist mark for her career - she finishes her two-year career at Alfred State with 1,100 assists.

Sophomore Kiara Perkins (Coudersport, PA) was named honorable mention after recording 207 kills, 146 digs, and 41 service aces in 21 matches.

The Pioneers finished the 2018 season with a 9-12 overall record and advanced to the ACAA Semifinals last weekend.
