Paternostro Named ACAA Women's Coach of the Year

Alfred State cross country coach Steve Paternostro has been named the ACAA Women's Coach of the Year for the second straight season. The award was voted on by the coaches of the ACAA.

Paternostro led the Pioneers to a second-place finish at the ACAA Women's Cross Country Championships where the Pioneers fell a heart-breaking one point short of SUNY Delhi for the championship. Pioneer freshman Julia Russell (Candor) captured the ACAA women's championship while Veronica Dailey (Addison) finished third. The team went on to the NCAA Mideast Regionals last weekend and finished 34th out of 47 teams. The appearance at the NCAA Regionals was a first for the program and for the college.

Robb Munro of SUNY Delhi was named the ACAA Men's Coach of the Year.
