Women's Cross Country Wraps up 2021 Season

The Alfred State women's cross country team wrapped up the 2021 season with a 20th place finish at the 2021 NCAA Division III Niagara Regionals.

Sarah Rivet (Shenendehowa) and Laura Ferris (Victor/Mercy) led the Pioneers on the 6k course at the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo. Rivet was 123rd (29:37.6) while Ferris was 124th (29:38.4). Katie Watkins (Addison) was 131st (30:31.4), Summer Kier (East Rochester) was 139th (32:57.7) and Mattison Buckley (Wellsville) finished 141st (33:45.6).

Windsor Ardner from Geneseo won the individual title with a time of 22:10.7. Ardner and the Knight won the team title with a score of 19. 25 colleges were represented in the race.

The Pioneers move on to the indoor track & field season which begins in early December.
