Thiel and Ryan Earn Academic ACAA Honors

Alfred State seniors Lindsey Thiel (Liverpool) and Cassandra Ryan (Gloversville) were two of the seven selections to the 2017 Academic All-American Collegiate Athletic Association women's cross country team. The group of honorees had an average GPA of 3.89.

Thiel has a 3.80 GPA in construction management while Ryan has a 3.90 GPA while double majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Tech Management.

Cassidy McCourt (Buffalo/Emerson School of Hospitality) was named honor roll.

To be eligible for the all-academic team student-athletes must have above a 3.2 GPA. Selections were made by a vote of the ACAA sports information directors.
