Athletic Training - Visitors

The Alfred State Athletic Training staff would like to be the first to welcome you and your staff to Alfred State College! The athletic training facility is located in Orvis Activities Center, located between the men’s and women’s locker rooms, in Room 226.

We understand that often times you are unable to accompany your team. If there are significant needs for your student-athletes, please contact the athletic training staff prior to the event. We ask that you please provide your own taping supplies and we will do our best to meet your team’s needs. During your team’s visit to campus the following supplies and services will be available:

In the athletic training facility

  • hydrocollators
  • ice/cold packs
  • whirlpools (hot/cold)
  • ultrasound
  • electric stimulation units
  • taping area
  • materials for biohazard disposal
  • water will be provided in locker rooms if used

On the field

  • water
  • cups/bottles
  • ice
  • ice bags
  • materials for biohazard disposal
  • emergency equipment (AED, splints, crutches, spine board)

EMS and a physician will be on site for all home football and men’s lacrosse games. If a significant injury occurs while your team is visiting, every effort will be made to contact your athletic training staff to alert them to the nature of the injury and the action that was taken.
