Bio

Jason Taylor was named an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Alfred State in Feb. 2022.

Taylor, MS, ATC, CSCS, came to Alfred State from Wells College where he was the head athletic trainer and covered all 15 sports.

Prior to Wells, Taylor was an athletic trainer at UHS in Vestal, N.Y. where he worked primarily with post-surgical patients to complete their rehab.

Before UHS, Taylor worked as an athletic trainer at Hudson Valley Community College. He has also been employed as a personal trainer at several health venues with clients of all ages, while also teaching first aid and CPR classes. In the summer months, Taylor assisted St. Lawrence University's head athletic trainer with youth camps.

Taylor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Ithaca College and a Master of Science (MS) in kinesiology from Western Illinois University. After completing his undergraduate work, Taylor covered all sports for one of the largest high school districts in New York at the Class A level.

Taylor has conducted research for professional publications NSCA Coach and the Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association. Taylor has also presented his research in 2020 at the NSCA National Convention and the Graduate Research Conference.

In addition to his ATC (certified athletic trainer) and CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist) distinctions, Taylor also holds memberships with NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) and NATA (National Athletic Trainers Association).

He is the main contact for: Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Wrestling and Baseball
