Lieb and Sporysz Named #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week

Women's basketball player Jackie Lieb (Hornell) and swimmer Kyle Sporysz (Cuba Rushford) have been named the Alfred State #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week.

Lieb, a senior forward, was named to the All-Tournament team as the Lady Pioneers split a pair of games at the Albany Pharmacy Tournament. Lieb netted 10 points in both games of the tournament.

Sporysz, a junior, had a solid night as the Pioneers battled Oswego in their home opener. Sporysz won the 50 free in 24.53, swam the anchor leg in a come from behind victory in the 200 free relay (23.52), and swam the butterfly leg (26.18) in the 200 medley relay that finished 2nd. The 200 free relay time of 1:37.47 broke the school NCAA DIII record.
