Bialecki and Sell Named #PioneerPinpoint

Basketball player Catherine Bialecki (Almond, NY) and swiimmer Alison Sell (Hanover, PA) have been named the Alfred State #PioneerPinpoint athletes of the week.

Bialecki recorded double-doubles in both of the Lady Pioneers contests this week. She had 21 points and 14 rebounds in a 77-72 loss at Medaille and then had 26 points and 13 rebounds in a 82-44 victory over SUNY Delhi. Bialecki shot 57.5% (23 for 40) for the week and blocked 11 shots. On the year, she is averaging 11.6 points and 6.7 rebounds in her nine games.

Sell was a triple-winner at the SUNY Delhi Invitational. She won the 100 breast and set a new pool record finishing in 1:12.88. She beat the previous pool record of 1:14.27 which was set in 1998. Sell also won the 200 breast (2:46.93) and the 100 butterfly (1:08.08).
