Pask Named Head Athletic Trainer, Mantie Named Assistant Trainer

Alexe (Alex) Pask has been named the head athletic trainer at Alfred State. She began her duties late this summer. With the promotion of Pask, Stephanie Mantie has been named the assistant athletic trainer.

Pask joined the Alfred State staff in the winter of 2012 as has served as an assistant athletic trainer. She has worked with every team on campus and has served as the primary trainer for football, women's basketball, and softball the past couple years. In her new role she will oversee all the operations of the athletic training department that provides care for the Pioneers 18 athletic teams. 

Pask is a graduate of Daemen College where she earned a bachelor's degree in health care studies and a master's degree in athletic training.  During her studies, Pask spent clinical time working with athletes at Daemen, HealthWorks, Lancaster High School, Buffalo State College, and the University of Buffalo. She is a member of the National Athletic Training Association, the Eastern Athletic Trainers Association, and the New York Athletic Trainers Association. She also serves as the athletic trainer for the Hornell Dodgers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

Mantie joins the Alfred State staff after spending last year as the head athletic trainer at Geneseo High School. She is a graduate of Alfred University where she earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training and a minor in sociology. During her time as a student athletic trainer, Mantie worked in the AU training room, performed an internship with Alfred State, worked at Page Orthotics, and at Bath Haverling High School with the lacrosse team.
