Bialecki and Elliott Named #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week
Alfred State sophomore women's basketball player Catherine Bialecki (Alfred Almond) and junior men's basketball player Tyler Elliott (Perry) have been named the #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the week. Bialecki also was named the Association of DIII Independents Athlete of the Week.
Bialecki nearly recorded a triple-double with 23 points, 20 rebounds and eight blocks in the Pioneers victory over Medaille on Tuesday. The sophomore now ranks second in the Association of DIII Independents in points per game (17.5) and is first in rebounds per game (13.8). She is 4th in scoring in the USCAA and 1st in rebounds.
Elliott recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Pioneers contest vs. Penn College. He is averaging 11 points per game this season and 8.3 rebounds.
