Baseball: 1-15

The Pioneers were 1-8 during spring break as they played in Myrtle Beach, SC and in Lexington, VA. The blue & gold hit .281 on the week but struggled on the mound and defensively.

Rafael Perozo (Bronx/St. Raymond) hit .556 (15 for 27) with two doubles, a triple, and six RBI, Lucas Cornell (Alfred Almond) hit .400 (8 for 20), and Cullen Franz (Cazenovia) hit .379 with a double, a triple, three homers, and a team high eight RBI.

Thomas Hunter (White Plains/Salesian) pitched 6.1 innings over the trip and recorded a 2.84 ERA while Garrett Mack (Avon) tossed 8.2 innings and had a 4.15 ERA. Nick Koscinski (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) earned the victory in relief for the Pioneers while Tsvi Weil (Forest Hills) earned a save.

Lacrosse: 1-5

The Pioneers dropped a pair of matched during spring break. They lost 17-6 at Bryn Athyn and then fell 13-6 to North Central College in a contest played in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Teddy Alvarado (Hilton) led the team with six goals while Joe Johnson (Churchville) netted three and passed out one assist. Aaron Buck recorded two goals and two assists while Tanner Morrow (Grand Island) won 16 faceoffs and led the team with nine ground balls. In net, Ryan Amidon (Fayetteville Manlius) made 25 saves.

Softball: 0-8

The Lady Pioneers spent spring break in Myrtle Beach, SC and competed in eight games. The team hit .275 on the week but were unable to pick up a victory.

Melissa Barber (Nassau/Catholic Central) led the team with a .423 batting average and five RBI. Aubri Mosier (Rome, PA) hit .368 with five RBI, and Stormi Kruger (Medina) collected a team high seven RBI while hitting .308.

Wrestling: 13th overall, 12th in Division I of NCWA National Championships

George Van Valen (Ithaca) led a contingent of seven wrestlers that competed at the NCWA National Championships. Van Valen finished 2nd in the 184 lb. weight class.

Van Valen was 4-1 in the tournament and didn't allow an opponent to score on him until the semifinals. He defeated River Robertson (Maine) in the semifinals and then fell 4-0 to #1 seed Cody Chaney (Emmanuel). Van Valen finishes the season with a 39-7 overall record.

Tristan Almeter (Iroquois) was 3-2 in the 165 lb. bracket while Patrick Lehman (Marathon), Konnor Kremer (Horseheads), and Brandyn Whitacre (Jamestown) all finished 2-2.

The Pioneers finished 13th overall out of 99 teams that competed. They were 12th in the DI standings.
