Alfred State Sits in 9th in USCAA Directors Cup

The Alfred State athletic department sits in 9th place after the winter sports season in the USCAA Directors Cup. The Pioneers have scored 355 points thus far during the 2016-17 school year.

The Pioneers picked up points this winter with the women's basketball teams appearance in the USCAA Division I National Championships and the strong showing by the wrestling team at the USCAA Invitational.

Berea (KY) college leads the standings with 522.5 points followed by Florida College (511), SUNY ESF (451), and SUNY Delhi (400.8). Maine Fort Kent is 5th, Cleary (MI) is 6th, Albany College of Pharmacy is 7th, and Rochester (MI) College is 8th. New Hampshire Tech rounds out the top 10.

Director's Cup points are awarded for number of sport offerings, attendance at the USCAA National Convention, and results from USCAA National Championship events
