Salatel and Parker Named Garcia's Top Cut Athletes of the Week
Junior soccer player Michayla Salatel (Geneseo) and junior football player Austin Parker (Port Byron) have been named the Alfred State Garcia's Barbershop Top Cut Athletes of the Week.
Salatel factored in four of the women's soccer team's nine goals this week. She assisted on the lone goal of the game vs. Pitt-Bradford and then scored a goal and passed out two assists in the team's 8-0 victory over Villa Maria. She leads the team with six goals and five assists.
Parker continued his solid play on the defensive side of the ball. He recorded 12 tackles (9 solo) and intercepted a pass in this weekend's contest at Maritime. He leads the team and is 4th in the ECFC with 37 total tackles (27 solo).
