Salatel and Webster Honored by the ACAA
Alfred State juniors Michayla Salatel (Geneseo) and Madison Webster (Corning) have earned ACAA Player of the Week honors.
Salatel was named the women's soccer offensive player of the week after recording a hat trick in the Pioneers 3-1 victory over Hilbert. She leads the team in goals and points this season.
Webster was named the volleyball defensive player of the week after helping the Pioneers to a 2-0 week. She collected 25 digs versus Cazenovia and 12 vs. Penn College (average of 5.29 digs/set)
Both the women's soccer team and the volleyball team will participate this weekend at the ACAA Championships. The women's soccer team is the #1 seed and will take on #4 Valley Forge in Phoenixville, PA on Saturday while the volleyball team will host the tournament and take on #1 Finlandia at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
