Curran and Kemsley Earn Garcia's Top Cut Athletes of the Week Honors
Zach Curran (Williamson) and Paul Kemsley (Lancaster) have been named the Garcia's Barbershop Top Cut Athletes of the Week. The pair both won individual titles at this weekend's ECAC Championships.
Curran, who entered the competition as the highest seeded performer, won the event with a leap of 4.50 m. He was the only competitor to clear the 4.35 m and the 4.5 m (14'9") heights.
Kemsley won the shot put competition with a toss of 15.56 m (51'00.75"). His winning toss was .04 further than the 2nd place finisher and .34 more than 3rd place. Kemsley was also 7th in the weight throw (15.60 m).
Curran and Kemsley helped the Pioneers to a 9th place overall finish out of 32 teams that scored at the event.
