Lewis and Santobuono Named Athletes of the Week
Tahaij Lewis (Rochester/Greece Olympia) and Andrew Santobuono (Unatego) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Lewis capped his collegiate career by being named to the all-tournament team at the ACAA Championships. He scored a team high 37 points and grabbed 26 rebounds as the Pioneers defeated Thomas More in the semifinals and fell in a tight two-point contest to SUNY Delhi in the finals. On the week, Lewis was 15 for 17 from the foul line and he also had three assists, three blocks, and three steals.
Santobuono allowed just four hits and struck out 10 in eight innings of work as he led Alfred State to a 10-0 victory over Houghton. In his collegiate debut didn't walk a batter and allowed just three singles and a triple.
