Brigman, Kemsley, and Covelli Named Athletes of the Week
Emily Brigman (Lancaster), Paul Kemsley (Lancaster), and Nic Covelli (Carmel) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Brigman led the women's team at the ECAC Championships this past weekend. She finished 5th in the pentathlon with 2,489 points. Her top scoring events were the 60 hurdles (738 points - 9.86) and the high jump (644 points -1.52 m). She also finished 4th in the 1 mile run (7:14.61).
Kemsley won the individual title in the weight throw at the ECAC Championships. He won with a winning toss of 16.29 m.
Covelli led the Pioneers with three goals and two assists as Alfred State defeated Wells in their home opener.
