Men's Basketball: 5-12, 3-9 AMCC

Alfred State led the whole way as they defeated Pitt Bradford 68-60 on Wednesday evening in their only action of the week.

Josh Reding (Spencerport) led the team with a 14 point, nine assist, and six rebound performance. Tavion Williams (Bronx/FDA) finished with 13 points off the bench, Paris Jamison (Brooklyn/East Side Community) finished with 12, and Ryan Gentile (Spencerport) got in double-figures with 11. Brandon Gosley (Valley Stream South) led the team with 11 boards.

Women's Basketball: 5-12, 3-9 AMCC

Alfred State started off fast and never trailed as they defeated Pitt Bradford 66-51 to complete the season sweep of the Panthers in their only action of the week. Four Pioneers finished in double figures in the contest.

Kelsey Shaulis (Ovid/South Seneca) led the team with 20 points (14 in the 1st half) while Jordyn Pettit (Wellsville) finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks. Emily Kelley (Andover) had 11 points, six boards, four blocks, and three steals while Rayanna Anderson (Wellsville) chipped in 10 points and eight assists. 

Men's Swimming & Diving: 7-2, 2-1 AMCC

The men's swimming team wrapped up the home portion of their schedule by sweeping a tri-meet with Lycoming and Genesee CC. They defeated Lycoming 105-52 and Genesee CC 122-30.

Westin Perry (Canisteo Greenwood) and Matt Walker (Kenmore West) both won a pair of individual events. He won the 200 free in 1:49.62, the 100 back in 54.43 and Walker won the 400 IM in 4:24.87 and the 100 breast in 1:02.37.

Nate Miller (Gananda) also picked up an individual victory by winning the 100 fly in 56.80. Stuart Yates (Naples) was 2nd in the 100 free (52.00) and 2nd in the 100 breast (1:05.62) while Austin Eckrich (Churchville Chili) was 2nd in the 1650 free (18:53.84). The 200 medley relay team of Perry, Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA), Miller, and Walker won in 1:40.66 while Perry, Walker, Yates and Miller won the 400 free relay in 3:26.96.

On Sunday at the Ithaca Diving Invitational, Austin Miller (Hornell) finished 4th out of 12 divers on the 3m diving board. He completed the 11-dive program with 412.35 points. On the 1m board, he finished in 8th place with 371.75 points.

Women's Swimming & Diving: 6-4, 3-1 AMCC  

The women's swimming team wrapped up the home portion of their schedule by splitting a tri-meet on Saturday. They defeated Genesee CC 122-13 but fell 92-65 to Lycoming. 

Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) won the 100 fly in 1:05.08 and finished 2nd in the 100 breast (1:12.21) to lead the way. Sarah Stevens (Wellsville) was 2nd in the 100 free (1:00.76) and 2nd in the 400 IM (5:56.04). Alina Kisluk (Hamburg) was 2nd in the 1650 (20:18.38), Veronica Boller (Wales/Iroquois) was 2nd in the 200 free (2:21.31), and Payton Armstrong (Monroe Woodbury) was 2nd in the 100 back (1:10.75).

The 200 medley relay team of Armstrong, Mikaela Snayczuk, Kelsey Lynch (Wellsville) and Sarah Stevens was 2nd in the 200 medley relay (2:03.67) and the 400 free relay team of Mikaela Snayczuk, Stevens, Armstrong, and Kisluk was 2nd in 4:08.81.

On Sunday at Ithaca 1m Divining Invitational Sarah Stevens finished 22nd with 295.15 points, Leaha Langerman (Wayland Cohocton) was 23rd with 286.70 points, and Rebecca Stevens (Wellsville) was 24th with 281.20 points.

Men's Track & Field:

The men's track & field team had several strong performances at the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational

Cameron Chambers (East Rochester) won the 600 m in 1:25.56 to lead the way. while Jacob Wadsworth (Dansville) had two All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships qualifying efforts. He was 3rd in the 60 m dash (7.09) and 3rd in the long jump (6.78 m).

Other top performances included: Jacob Drew (Corning Painted Post) was 4th in the 600 m (1:31.18) and 7th in the 1 mile run (4:47.59), Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) was 4th in the 5,000 (16:50.75), and Zack Rudewicz-Nepokroeff (Williamsville East) was 4th in the long jump (6.70 m).

Women's Track & Field:

Isabelle Popoff (Cicero North Syracuse), Katherine O'Buckley (Queens, NY/Francis Lewis), and Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD) recorded top finishes as the Alfred State track & field team competed at Brockport on Saturday.

Popoff won the 600 m in 1:43.01 O'Buckley was 2nd in 1:53.77. Taggart was 2nd in the 60 m hurdles in 10.38.

The distance medley relay team of Nakaridia Sanogo (Harlem/Promise Academy), O'Buckley, Sarah Rivet (Shenendehowa), and Caitlin Caltagirone (Holland) finished 2nd in 14:58.66 while the 4x400 relay team of Popoff, Taggart, Katie Watkins (Addison), and Annaliese Hersom (Byron Bergen) finished 4th (5:05.60).

Wrestling: 3-6

Anthony Miraglia (Byron Bergen) and Kyle Fitzgerald (South Lewis) each won a pair of matches as Alfred State competed at the Mel Berry Duals at Thiel College. Miraglia won 11-2 over Dylan Muscarella of Mercyhurst North East and 12-4 over Hunter Martz of Thiel while Fitzgerald pinned Reagan Soledad of MNE in 2:27 and Gavin Colligan of Thiel in 4:56. Blake Ilges also earned a 11-10 victory over Cameron Prebble of Thiel. The Pioneers fell 30-22 to Mercyhurst North East and 37-13 to Thiel.
