Watkins and Linderman Named to AMCC All-Academic Team

Alfred State cross country and track & field athlete Katie Watkins (Addison) and soccer player Zack Linderman (Olean) have been named to the AMCC All-Academic Team.

Watkins and Linderman were the Alfred State nominations for the award by Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) Matt Lawrence for their success in the classroom, in the community, and in their respective sport.

Watkins is a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and is a civic engagement coordinator. She earned All-AMCC honors during the cross country season and All-CSAC honors during the track & field season and holds a 3.94 GPA in construction management.

Linderman is a three-year member of the men's soccer team, serves as the secretary of SAAC, and has a 3.88 GPA in his double major of Engineering Science and Construction Management.

Watkins and Linderman were two of the 18 student-athletes named to the AMCC All-Academic Team.
