Ferrer and Grierson Named ASC Athletes of the Week
Nayomie Ferrer (Eastridge) and Thad Grierson (Perry) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Ferrer was the engine of the offense in a pair of sweeps of Pitt Greensburg, as she passed out 32 assists (8 per set) and recorded six kills and six service aces in four sets, while also being credited with eight digs.
Grierson recorded his second shutout of the season on Saturday when the Pioneers defeated Pitt Greensburg 2-0. He made eight saves in the victory and finished the week with 15 total saves.
