Gregory, Miller, Grierson, and Sarbudak Honored by the AMCC

Quartet of Pioneers Honored by the AMCC

Alfred State student-athletes Keturah Gregory (Laurel, MD), Austin Miller (Hornell), Thad Grierson (Perry), and Nuri Sarbudak (Pittsford Mendon) have been honored with weekly awards by the AMCC.

Gregory was named AMCC volleyball Offensive Player of the week after hitting .679 on the week from her middle hitter position. She totaled 21 kills and eight blocks as the Pioneers swept Hilbert and Pitt-Bradford to secure the #2 seed in this week's AMCC Tournament.

Miller earned AMCC Diver of the Week honors after an impressive performance on the diving boards. He won both the 1m (231) and 3m (261.65) competition as Alfred State defeated Penn State Behrend on Saturday.

Grierson was named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week. He was in goal for a pair of Alfred State shutout victories this week. He made five saves in the 2-0 victory over Pitt-Bradford in Saturday's AMCC quarterfinals. He has started every game for ASC and has a 1.56 goals against average.

Sarbudak was named AMCC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four of the Pioneers eight goals this week. He netted a pair in a 6-0 victory over Hilbert that propelled the Pioneers to the postseason. In the AMCC quarterfinals, he scored both goals for ASC in a 2-0 win over Pitt-Bradford.
