Week in Review:

Men's Basketball: 6-10, 2-6 AMCC

Josh Reding tied his season high of 21 points in the Alfred State men's basketball 81-67 loss to the Penn State-Behrend Lions on Wednesday.

Women's Basketball: 7-5, 4-1 AMCC

Emily Kelley recorded her eighth double-double of the season in the Alfred State women's basketball 74-49 loss to the Penn State-Behrend Lions on Wednesday.

Wrestling: 7-3

Sean Peterson claimed the 141 title at the Wildcat Open hosted by Johnson and Wales on Saturday.

Peterson went 4-0 on the day including a 3-2 win in the finals to be crowned champion. He received a bye in round one and won by tech fall over Joshua Roberts (Johnson & Wales) (TF 15-0) in round two. In the quarterfinal he won in sudden victory over Anthony Martin (Coast Guard) (SV-1 8-6). In the semifinal he won by medical forfeit over Hayden Brown (Johnson & Wales) and then won by decision in the finals over Elijah Cyr (Castleton).

Tyler Pelech led the 200+ participant event as the only wrestler to register four wins via pin fall. Pelech logged the second quickest pin of the tournament at 22 seconds.

Men's Track and Field:

The Pioneers had seven top-seven finishes at the Houghton College Highlander Invitational on Saturday.

Gavin Bathgate won the 5000-meters with a new personal record of 15:53.92.

Women's Track and Field:

The Pioneers had nine top-eight finishers at the Houghton College Highlander Invitational on Saturday.

Oluwatobi Adebowal weight throw with a personal record of 13.84 meter (45-05.00).
