Bathgate, Adebowale, Peterson Named ASC Athletes of the Week
Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) from men's track and field, Oluwatobi Adebowale (Elmont/Valley Stream North) from women's track and field and Sean Peterson (Islip) from wrestling have been named the Alfred State College Athletes of the Week.
Bathgate won the 5000-meters with a new personal record of 15:53.92 at the Houghton College Highlander Invitational on Saturday.
Adebowale earns her third Athlete of the Week honor after winning weight throw with a personal record of 13.84 meter (45-05.00) at the Houghton College Highlander Invitational on Saturday.
Peterson claimed the 141 title at the Wildcat Open hosted by Johnson and Wales on Saturday after posting a 4-0 record on the day including a 3-2 win in the finals to be crowned champion.
