Perlino and Galton Named ASC Athletes of the Week
Dylan Perlino (Holland) from men's track and field and Mike Galton (Warsaw) from wrestling have been named the Alfred State College athletes of the week.
Perlino finished third in the weight throw and qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Championships at the Susquehanna Invitational on Saturday.
He hit an AARTFC mark of 15.81 meters (51-10.5) which is over a one-meter personal best and puts him second on the Alfred State All-Time list. He also took 12th in shot put with a throw of 12.75 meters (41-10).
Galton went 2-0 at 174 over the weekend. Against his opponent from Pennsylvania College of Technology he won by y tech fall (6:44, 19-4) and went on to beat his opponent from Brockport by pin in 3:17.
