Women’s 4x200, Bathgate Named ASC Athletes of the Week
The Alfred State women's track and field 4x200-meter relay and Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) have been named the ASC Athletes of the week.
The 4x200 relay of Madeline Cole (Homer), Alyssa Delany (Hornell), Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD/Francis Scott Key) and Sarah Rivet (Waterford/Shenendehowa) placed 12th at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday hosted by Nazareth College. They finished in a time of 1:52.44 which puts them third on the Pioneers All-Time list for indoor.
Bathgate finished eighth in the 5000-meter race at the AARTFC Championships on Friday. He ran a 15:25.53 which is a 15 second personal best and is also the second fastest time in indoor program history.
