Bobby Papalouizos Named Interim Director of Athletic Communications

Alfred State College Alumni, Bobby Papalouizos has been named Interim Director of Athletic Communications. He has an already long history on the Alfred State College Campus. As a graduate, former student-athlete, and coach, Bobby returns to where his professional career started.

"I am excited to be given the opportunity to continue my career at Alfred State." Bobby explained, "I truly feel that this is home for me, I have grown here as a student, and professionally. I'm honored to be here and represent the Alfred State College Athletic Department."

Bobby's previous work on campus includes work as an assistant coach and director of player development for the Alfred State Baseball Program along with work in the recreation and intramurals department as a student engagement leader. After taking a two-year stint away from campus, Bobby is back in the Pioneer Athletic Department.

Outside of Alfred State College, he's had experience at Hofstra University, with the Baltimore Orioles and Diamond Pro Baseball out of Rochester, N.Y., working with statistics, media and event management at all three stops.

Director of Athletics Jason Doviak spoke about the new hire. "We are excited to welcome Bobby back to Alfred State. His energy, passion, and creativity, along with his previous work experience, is the perfect combination of attributes that will pave the way for a successful career in athletic communications. Bobby is familiar with our campus and department after spending four years here as a student and assisting the baseball program as a coach. He has already made an impact in his short time with us and proven to be a great addition to our staff."
