Offense Can't Get Going vs. LaRoche

The Alfred State baseball team could not get the offense going as they fell 2-1 and 5-0 to #18 LaRoche in their final AMCC doubleheader of the season. The Pioneer pitching staff kept the team in the contest but the Redhawks staff held the blue & gold to just seven hits on the day.

In the opener, the Pioneers got on the board in the 2nd inning when Connor Pingitore (Amsterdam/Broadalbin-Perth) scored on an error. The Redhawks tied it up in the 4th connected on a two-out RBI single up the middle. The game remained tied until the 7th. With one out in the bottom half of the inning Jonathan Spina singled up the middle to give LaRoche the victory.
