The Alfred State Pioneers played the Gettysburg Bullets today and won 3-0.
Jon White pitched a complete game shutout, first of his career. He had 5 strikeouts while only giving up 4 hits. White got out of his only jam striking out 2 hitters stranding a man on third in the 6th inning.
Tim Holler stayed hot at the plate picking up 2 hits in 5 at bats while also starting the scoring by crossing the plate on a passed ball in the early innings. Holler also came up clutch in the 9th with an RBI single scoring Joseph Schatz from second base.
The Pioneers got their other run from a Nick Serce moonshot to right center, which was also his 100th career hit.
