Serce Named ABCA and D3Baseball All-American

Nick Serce has earned his second All-American recognition for his performance this season. Serce has been named to the All-American D3Baseball.com team and the ABCA All-American team. Serce is the 3rd All-American in Alfred State Athletics NCAA history, and the first All-American in the baseball program's NCAA history. 

The 2023 season marks the fifteenth year that D3baseball.com has named All-American teams, with more than 1,000 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to D3baseball.com staff and contributors from which three teams in each region were determined.

The 2022 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-America Teams have been released and were announced at the Opening Banquet of the NCAA Div. III College World Series Thursday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections, which were announced Tuesday, were nominated for All-America honors.

Nick Serce Serce hit .408 this season with a slugging percentage of .904 and finished the regular season third in the nation for homeruns with 17. He broke the conference and Alfred State record for single-season regular season homeruns, and is also the all-time leader at Alfred State in career homeruns. Serce tallied 11 doubles and 43 RBI during the regular season, recording 51 hits, with over half of them being for extra bases. He fielded 1.000 at 1B in conference play this season.
