2015 Alfred State End of the Year Awards

Recently the Alfred State athletic department hosted their annual end of year awards ceremony. The ceremony held in the Cappadonia Auditorium featured recaps of every team, award presentations, and the honoring of the first group of four-year Pioneer student athletes.
Williams Signs with Detroit Lions

Moments after the NFL draft Rasheed Williams (Swedesboro, NJ) signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Detroit Lions. Williams will look to make the Lions roster and become the second Pioneer (Rod Streater - Oakland Raiders) currently in the NFL.
Alfred State Announces 2015 Schedule

The 2015 Alfred State football team will enter their third year of NCAA DIII competition with a slate of ten contests. The Pioneers, who will be led by new head coach Jarod Dodson, will play five at home and five on the road.

Jarod Dodson has been named the new head football coach at Alfred State after an extensive search. Dodson, who will begin his duties this week, takes over for Mick Caba who retired at the end of February.

Williams Earns ECAC All-Star Honors

After a 2014 season in which he rewrote the record book, Rasheed Williams (Swedesboro, NJ) has been named a 1st team ECAC Division III North Football All-Star. Williams is one of two running backs honored with 1st team honors (Justin Wallace - MIT).
DePofi to Play in National Bowl

Senior linebacker Nick DePofi (Union Endicott) will play in the National Bowl at Florida International University on Sunday morning. DePofi will play on the Red Nation team coached by Kevin O'Hanlon the coach of the Trenton Freedom (PIFL).

Williams Scores Three Times but Pioneers Fall to WashU

Rasheed Williams (Swedesboro, NJ) rushed for 236 yards and three scores as Alfred State fell 47-19 at Washington University in St. Louis. Williams has now rushed for over 100 yards in eight of the Pioneers nine games.
