The NCAA DIII Membership Committee recently announced that Alfred State has satisfied the requirements of year two of the membership process and will move on to year three in 2016-17.

The Alfred State football team will host the inaugural Jr. Pioneers Football Clinic on Sunday, April 17th. The free clinic will be held at Pioneer Stadium and will begin with at 11 a.m.
Wilkerson Signs with Franken Knights

Alfred State quarterback Ben Wilkerson (Buffalo/Riverside) has signed a pro contract with the Franken Knights of the German Football League. Wilkerson will join the Knights following graduation in May.
Former Pioneer Rod Streater Signs with the Chiefs

Former Alfred State football and track & field athlete Rod Streater has signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Streater, heading into his 5th year in the NFL, spent the previous four seasons with the Oakland Raiders.

The 2016 Alfred State football team will play a challenging schedule in their final season as a NCAA DIII independent school. The Pioneers will battle vs. members of the NJAC, the Empire 8, the Liberty League, and the ECFC.
Former Pioneer Rasheed Williams Drafted in MLFB

Alfred State all-time rushing leader Rasheed Williams was drafted by Team Cottrell in the inaugural Major League Football draft on Saturday. The new spring football league featuring eight teams is slated to start play this spring.
Alfred State to Join ECFC

Alfred State president Dr. Skip Sullivan and athletic director Dr. Kelly Higgins are excited to announce that the college has been accepted and will become a member of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC). For the first time in school history, the blue & gold will begin play as a four-year NCAA school and member of the ECFC beginning in the 2017 season.
Alfred State to Host Football Press Conference Tomorrow

Eleven members of the Alfred State football team have earned All-USCAA honors following the 2015 season. Five Pioneers were named to the 1st team and six to the 2nd team.

Alfred State football players Chris Alfaro (Bellmore) and Zack Goodwin (Poughkeepsie/F.D. Roosevelt) have been named the USCAA National All-Academic team. Both upperclassmen hold above a 3.5 GPA.

Balanced Attack Leads Pioneers to Victory

A balanced offensive attack and a solid defensive effort helped lead the Alfred State football team to a 34-18 victory over Maranatha Baptist (WI) University on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneer offense gained 567 yards and defense forced three turnovers and recorded six sacks.
